Boardgames in the News: Why We Play (on the BBC)

We recently reviewed a report from the BBC discussing how the how play is usually associated with children and is important in their development, but how it can also be important to adults.  The report is accompanied by four episodes of the radio documentary program The Compass (broadcast on the BBC World Service).  The mini-series expands on the themes discussed in the article, and each episode discusses how play is important in a particular stage of life.  All the episodes, Childhood, Adolescence, Adulthood and Later Life and are available now on BBC Sounds.
